The International Geography Olympiad is the world's premier academic competition for secondary school students. It is held under the auspices of the International Geographical Union (IGU) and organized by the IGU Olympiad Commission.
Istanbul turns the city itself into a classroom. The event will be hosted at a premier venue with state-of-the-art facilities for tests and accommodation.

Submission Deadline: The deadline for poster submissions is 10 July 2026. Please ensure your poster is submitted before this date.
Participants must be secondary school students (typically ages 16-19). Each country may send a team of up to 4 students plus 2 team leaders.
Registration is processed through the Olympus system. National coordinators should check the official iGeo website for portal access.
The event will be held at a dedicated venue in Istanbul, which will serve as both the accommodation and examination center.
